China rejects Trump’s offer to mediate in Sino-India border standoff

Current Affairs : China on Friday dismissed US President Donald Trump’s proposal to intervene among India and China to end their present fringe stalemate.

In an unexpected move, Trump on Wednesday offered to “intercede or referee” the seething fringe debate among India and China, saying he was “eager to get going” to facilitate the strains, in the midst of the proceeding with stalemate between the militaries of the two Asian mammoths.

“We have educated the two India and China that the United States is eager to get the show on the road to intercede or referee their now seething fringe debate. Much obliged to you!”, tweeted Trump

In any case, because of Trump’s intervention offer, India said on Thursday that it is locked in with the Chinese side to determine the outskirt issue calmly.

Responding for the offer, Chinese Foreign Ministry representative Zhao Lijian stated, the two nations didn’t need the “mediation” from an outsider to determine the present military stalemate.
