No respite for Delhiites as air qulity stays at ‘very poor’ levels SAFAR warned that further deterioration in Delhi’s air quality may start from the fourth week of October Current Affairs :Occupants of Delhi and abutting regions were allowed no break on Thursday as the air quality remained at “extremely poor” levels. As indicated by the Center-run System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the Air Quality Index of the capital toward the beginning of the day was recorded at 312, falling in ‘poor people’ class. The AQI between the scope of 51 to 100 is considered as palatable, 101-200 is moderate, 201-300 falls under the classification of poor. While 300-400 is considered as ‘poor’, levels between 401-500 fall under the ‘risky class’.
