Steps taken to contain coronavirus, but fake news causing panic: Govt to SC

Current Affairs The Center educated the Supreme Court Tuesday that it has taken “proactive and preemptive convenient strides” to manage the coronavirus pandemic because of which its spread is so far contained yet counterfeit news causing genuine frenzy, is the “absolute most unmanageable impediment” in the administration of this test.

In a status report recorded in the peak court, the legislature has given subtleties of the means taken, including upgrade of testing limit and issuance of request to buy 40,000 ventilators to meet the possibilities, to forestall coronavirus or Covid-19 and its spread in the nation.

“It is presented that as described in resulting some portion of this status report, intentional or incidental phony news as well as material equipped for causing genuine frenzy in the psyche of populace is seen as a solitary most unmanageable block in the administration of this test,” it said.

The Center has said that it would set up a different unit, headed by a joint secretary level official in the Ministry of Health and comprising of prominent specialists from perceived organizations like AIIMS, to answer each question of residents and to give continuous and verified realities with respect to Covid-19.
