S N Shrivastava given additional charge of Delhi police commissioner

Current Affairs:Senior IPS official S N Shrivastava was given the extra charge of the Delhi police chief with impact from Sunday, as per an official request.
On Monday, Shrivastava was repatriated from the Central Reserve Police Force and delegated as the unique chief (lawfulness) of the Delhi police, in the midst of the collective savagery in upper east Delhi.
Shrivastava, a 1985-cluster IPS official, will assume responsibility from officeholder Amulya Patnaik, who demits office on Saturday.
Shrivastava will hold the extra charge of the Delhi police official with impact from Sunday and until further requests, the request gave by the Union Home Ministry said.
In the CRPF, Shrivastava was filling in as the exceptional chief general (preparing). He had served the Delhi police in different limits, including as the leader of the world class hostile to fear wing, Special Cell.
Since the time he rejoined the Delhi police, Shrivastava was occupied in controlling the shared brutality in upper east Delhi, in which at any rate 39 individuals were killed.
