Over 50 mn farmers yet to get payments under third round of PM-Kisan: RTI

Current Affairs:More than fifty million ranchers were yet to get the third portion of cash under the Center’s driven PM-Kisan conspire, planned for giving direct help of Rs 6,000 every year to them, as indicated by the most recent Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare information.

The aggregate sum of the plan, which became effective on December 1, 2018, is to be paid in three equivalent portions of Rs 2,000 at regular intervals.

The information appeared about 25.1 million ranchers lack even the subsequent portion and 51.6 million of them were yet to get the third portion.

More than 90 million ranchers have enlisted themselves under the plan between December 2018 and November 2019, it said.

Of these, 76.2 million or 84 percent of ranchers have gotten the principal portion.

The cash during that time portion was given to almost 65 million ranchers and the sum under the third portion was given to 38.5 million recipients, as per the information got because of a RTI inquiry documented by this PTI writer.

The horticulture service, in its reaction, gave three arrangements of information referencing the advantages given to ranchers under the plan between December 2018 and November 2019.
