Sorry, I will not apologise: Rajinikanth amid Periyar rally remark row

Current Affairs:Days after a Dravidian outfit requested a statement of regret from him for his remarks on a meeting taken out by social reformer Periyar decades prior, Superstar Rajinikanth on Tuesday attested that he will neither express lament nor delicate a conciliatory sentiment and kept up that his comment was genuine.
Indicating clippings from magazines and papers, the top entertainer said the icons of Lord Ram and Sita were taken out without dress and the divinities likewise highlighted a laurel of shoes in an assembly drove by late Periyar E V Ramasamy in 1971.
