Rainwater harvesting mandatory for new buildings: UP rural minister

Current Affairs:-In an offer to handle the issue of draining groundwater level, the Uttar Pradesh government is going to make it required for new private and business structures to have arrangements of water reaping.
“Every one of the structures will be allowed in future after arrangements of water gathering courses of action,” Rural Development Minister Mahendra Singh said in the get together. He was answering to an issue of Congress MLA Aditi Singh on the issue.
The pastor said there was sufficient surface and groundwater to the extent the state is concerned and featured works done by his administration.
“More than 20,000 lakes were delved under the MGNREGA plot in the state. Wells are likewise being reestablished and plans are in progress to plant trees on banks of the streams for groundwater reviving,” the clergyman said.
He said a “nal se jal” (water through tap) plan would be propelled for the Bundelkhand in September and the area would be secured by 2021.
