PM Modi did not request Trump to mediate on Kashmir issue: Jaishankar

Current Affairs:-PM Narendra Modi made no solicitation to US President Donald Trump to intercede on the Kashmir issue with Pakistan, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said in Rajya Sabha Tuesday in the midst of a huge contention over the US head’s case.
He said every extraordinary issue among India and Pakistan can be talked about just reciprocally.
“I might want to completely express that no such solicitation has been made by the Prime Minister to the US President,” he said after Congress and other resistance groups brought the issue up in the House.
US President Donald Trump had on Monday asserted that Prime Minister Modi had solicited him to assume the job from a go between on Kashmir.
The pastor said it has been the reliable position of India that every single remarkable issue with Pakistan can be talked about just reciprocally.
“Any commitment with Pakistan will expect end to cross fringe psychological warfare,” he stated, including Shimla and Lahore accords give the premise to goals of all issues respectively.
Resistance groups were, notwithstanding, not fulfilled by the announcement of the External Affairs Minister and needed the Prime Minister to go to the House and explain.
